We were offered an exciting opportunity to photograph some of the best and most talented classical musicians to play in the UK and to push them out of their comfort zones.

The musicians’ brief was to bring classical music to places it is not normally heard. We were, therefore, asked to produce images that conveyed the fun side of the artist’s personality, making them look approachable and taking the perceived stuffiness out of the genre.
