How big can you go?

Give us something you can hold in the palm of your hand or something it takes 3 of us to lift, the chances are we can shoot it. At MC Photography we have a large 1,100sqft studio, that ensures that with the largest of product, we'll get all of it in shot and pin sharp from front to back . Don't believe us?...

In this particular blog we'll be looking at our client Quicktrak Ltd.

Quicktrack are a company that manufacture apparatus to wheel align anything from cars to large lorries, meaning a lot of their product is rather large.

Below is a behind-the-scenes shot showing the capacity of our studio to get this large product on a background and lit!
With our large format Imacon camera we can ensure the product will be pin sharp from top to bottom, front to back. A quality that most standard digital cameras cant quite reach.

Just take a look at the finished shots below!

"But my product doesn't easily stand on its own..."

Even product that doesn't stand freely on its own legs, isn't a problem.

Below the product had to be mounted to the wall in order to shoot exactly how it would be used and seen in a working environment.

So, if you think your product is a little too big or too awkward to get shot in our studio, theres a good chance our studio will be able to facilitate your requirements.

For more information of Quicktrak's product visit their website here: http://www.quicktrak.co

I was Introduced to  Formm at the beginning of this year and was task to shoot some head shots for a new web site.Whilst talking to the directors as I shot their portraits they inquired if I would be interested in shooting the projects as and when they were completed.
The time frame is very short between completion and handover so flexibility and communication is key with all parties concerned and Formm have been able to facilitate easy access and help from  Formm's clients.

Product knowledge is paramount as a commercial photographer, you need to make sure the angles you choose show off the key design points to show how the products works and may differ from other similar products on the market. You can also add associated products to help the up sell of the clients range. This can be on a white back ground or in a small  set or on location.

A great honour for the Sheffield based shoes manufacturer. Here at MC Photography we have been providing our commercial photographic services to Goral & Son for a number of years shooting the manufacturing processes and the finished products for their website and advertising. We where asked to cover the visit as The Princess Royal was invited to take a tour of the factory.

For the past few years here at MC Photography, we've been working extremely hard on a technique that allows us to shoot some beautiful exteriors of some equally beautiful buildings.

Using a combination of lighting, complex retouching and "the golden hour" we have produced some work we are extremely proud of in the past few years. The technique we use to create these images transforms cold, dull shots, into warm, vibrant images that are worthy of the technical and hard work that goes into creating these amazing spaces.

We've had some extreme weather this year in the UK with the Beast from the East battering us early on in the year, but the summer we usually dont get in the UK has been very kind to us.

With the lovely warm weather it gives us a great chance to get out into the sun and shoot!

Not every shoot at MC Photography is in a spotless environment. Such  was the case last month when we got ourselves rather dirty on site in Sheffield with Progressive Safety Footwear, shooting their new ranges of JCB workwear.

On a morning which was plagued by drizzle and dampness, the day looked set to be quite a challenge on the building site however in the afternoon the sun reared its pretty face and allowed us to get up onto the roof, look over our fantastic city, and get some lovely shots.

During the day, we took some behind the scenes shots to give you all a sneak peak into the sort of set ups we use in such a challenging location

Along with some of the finished shots, here our scrapbook of the day....!
