Creative concept Photography at Theatre Royal Wakefield.

We were asked to take some photographs inside the Theatre Royal, Wakefield, UK to capture some of it’s hidden gems.
As we went on our treasure hunt around the theatre’s stage, bars and auditoriums we found some amazing pieces of art hidden away. Taking some still life photo’s of the architecture of the seating and intricate detailing in the ceilings and then some more fashion lead images using the same technique that we apply to our own artbysid art collection.
The images are to be used on the front of the theatre’s Spring brochure so the images needed to be creative, attractive and also commercial. It was requested in the brief to be as light and airy as possible, the client asked us to also try and portray a modern side to the theme in the photo’s.
Being the professional photographer’s that we are, we did just that and also achieved some great images too! We loved the beauty of the theatres interior including the rich red seating, and also that fact that the theatre is also in a great location within Wakefield City Centre, what a bonus!
The time frame is very short between completion and handover so flexibility and communication is key with all parties concerned and Formm have been able to facilitate easy access and help from Formm's clients.
Using a combination of lighting, complex retouching and "the golden hour" we have produced some work we are extremely proud of in the past few years. The technique we use to create these images transforms cold, dull shots, into warm, vibrant images that are worthy of the technical and hard work that goes into creating these amazing spaces.

We've had some extreme weather this year in the UK with the Beast from the East battering us early on in the year, but the summer we usually dont get in the UK has been very kind to us.
With the lovely warm weather it gives us a great chance to get out into the sun and shoot!
Quicktrack are a company that manufacture apparatus to wheel align anything from cars to large lorries, meaning a lot of their product is rather large.
