Until recently there has been a decline in PR photography due to the recession, however it seems moving into 2013 that the requirement for Professional PR Photography is now back!

Corporate companies and also the education sectors are now taking advantage of the benefits of using MC Photography for their advertising campaign photography to boost company profiles and also sales. These photo’s can be shot in our photography studio just outside Sheffield city centre, at the clients premises (using the environment or one of our many coloured backdrops) or indeed out on location in surrounding areas. When providing location photography we can utilise scenes such as city landmarks to create connotations and try to explain through pictures what the company is about, their mantra and what they do. Photo’s can also be shot ?for a general purpose, giving the client great value for money!
For example the shots opposite were taken recently for use in press releases and also for the Taylor & Emmet website, over the next few months our photographer, Mark has been booked to photograph the various teams within the company.

How we create consistent images the professional way

"MC Photo likes getting creative"
Given the opportunity we love pushing the boundaries of PR photography, although sometimes we do have to measure how far we take our creativity, this can depend on the client, location and usage. We use advanced techniques such as “off camera flash” to create mood in an image, so even if the sun isn’t shining we can still light the people in the shot outdoors. Using new photography techniques such as this give both mc photo and our clients flexibility.
We were commissioned to take the shot below by In Tandem Communications, this was taken in the boiler room and also outside The Moorfoot building in Sheffield (currently occupied by Sheffield City Council), the photographs were used to promote the renovation of the building by Shouksmiths.

"Understanding Is Important"
It is important that advertising photographers who take photos for PR purposes get the full brief and an understanding of:
- Where & how the photos will be used
- Who the key people involved are
- Locations that could be used to make the shot interesting
- The deadline for photographs
- What kind of photographic style the client wants

The time frame is very short between completion and handover so flexibility and communication is key with all parties concerned and Formm have been able to facilitate easy access and help from Formm's clients.

Using a combination of lighting, complex retouching and "the golden hour" we have produced some work we are extremely proud of in the past few years. The technique we use to create these images transforms cold, dull shots, into warm, vibrant images that are worthy of the technical and hard work that goes into creating these amazing spaces.
Take a look at some before and after shots!

From our Imacon to Hasselblad cameras, we can bring out laptop out, shoot direct to our 17 inch Macbook Pro so you can see exactly is what were shooting!
If you're product is needing a background we also have a large variety of backgrounds, varying in colour that we can also bring out to you.

Quicktrack are a company that manufacture apparatus to wheel align anything from cars to large lorries, meaning a lot of their product is rather large.
Below is a behind-the-scenes shot showing the capacity of our studio to get this large product on a background and lit!
